New Endowment Funds
Milan Area Historical Society Endowment Fund, established in 2011 for the preservation, maintenance and repairs to various Historical Society buildings.
Armitage/Brainard Milan Beautification Fund, established in 2010
New Scholarship Fund
Eric Harrison Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund is the backbone of the foundation. Donations are invested and only the earnings are spent, not only for programs happening today, but assuring that money will be available in the future.
This special fund was established in 2007 by the Jones Insurance Agency and produces a permanent income enabling the long time local charity to carry out it mission of helping people in need.
Supports community activities and programs for young people, ranging in age from birth to 18 years.
Established in 2010 for projects that beautify public space within Milan city limits.
Established in 2011 for the preservation, maintenance and repairs to various Historical Society buildings.
For the purchase of furnishings, books and electronic equipment in the Children and Young Adult Departments.
For the purchase of new books, books on tape and videos.
Supports new program development, upgrading of existing programs, expansion of the genealogy collection, resource materials and electronic equipment for public use.
Used for general library improvements.
To honor the memory of their son, Connie and Tim Harrison have established the Eric Harrison Memorial Scholarship Fund. Eric set a very high standard from which this scholarship selection will be based. Leadership, friendship, community spirit, school citizenship, academic success along with dedication to varsity sports.
For students majoring in field of Education.
For persons striving to be economically independent through higher education.
Provides fund for Milan Area Schools alumni to contribute to scholarships for deserving high school seniors.
Composite of several small funds, some dating back more than 50 years.
For students majoring in field of Business.
For students with a physical disability.
Award based on academic achievement, extra curricular activities, athletics, school service and need.
